The POLARIS electromagnetic flow meter is designed for the measurement of liquids with a minimum conductivity of 5µS/cm in closed pipes. Accuracy with the flow meter is repeatable, making it suitable for various sludge flow and water based processes. The rotatable, backlit transmitter makes POLARIS capable of measuring both reverse and forward flow rates as well as the total volume. PACTware can be used for diagnostics and configuration thanks to the HART feature. The sensor, which is available with a selection of electrodes and standard liners, can be flanged or wafer-style.
Additional features include alarm and pulse outputs, optional grounding rings and an option for a remote or integral transmitter. The sensor design includes a non-conductive and non-magnetic tube with two embedded electrodes for measuring. The electromagnetic flow meter function is based on Faraday’s law of induction.
